Neil Feinson
International Policy Director
Appointed Director of International Policy in September 2011.
After starting out in international banking, Neil joined the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in 1988. In his early career there he focused on competition, economic regulation and trade in services.
Wider experience included secondments to the European Commission (DG Competition 1992-94), OFTEL (1994-95) and the Office of Fair Trading as Director of European Competition Policy (2003-05).
After a spell as BERR’s Director of Strategic Planning he joined the Energy Group in 2006 as Head, Energy Market Framework working on energy security and other energy regulatory issues, transferring across into the Department of Energy and Climate Change in 2008.
