Iain Maclean

Biography

Iain is an Independent Member of the Intellectual Property Office Steering Board.

He is co-founder and partner of The Maclean Partnership, Iain runs his own consultancy and training service which he helped establish in 1997.

His focus is on enhancing performance and growth by creating programmes which deliver better organisational leadership, business management & personal development in private & public sector organisations.

He provides advice on strategy, managing change, developing employee engagement and improving staff motivation which is designed to develop more effective business management processes, skills and behaviours.

Before establishing The Maclean Partnership in 1997, Iain was with the London office of Ernst & Young, initially in the consultancy practice, then as head of the UK firm’s client training service and latterly as head of management development training for UK clients.

Prior to this Iain spent 15 years in the Civil Service in a variety of operational, training and management posts, where he also worked on a number of Cabinet Office efficiency scrutiny programmes.

He has experience as a Non-Executive Director and Chair.
