Extension

Patents: UK law extended. The application of the PCT has been extended to the Isle of Man.

EP(UK): UK law extended.

Trade marks: UK law extended. UK membership of the Madrid Protocol extends to the Isle of Man. Although the Isle of Man is not part of the EU for this purpose, Community Trade Marks (CTM's) are recognised and protected in the Isle of Man.

Designs: UK law relating to registered designs extended. The Isle of Man does not yet recognise Community Designs.

HM Attorney General for the Isle of Man is the legal adviser to the Crown in the Isle of Man. He is also responsible for the prosecution of offences in the Court of General Goal Delivery and for the drafting of Government legislation.
