The National Strategy sets out to effectively join up Government, industry and enforcement agencies.

To ensure the group has relevant and up to date information there has been a critical need for regular, high quality assessments and actionable intelligence.

Through the National Intellectual Property Crime Group we have built an intelligence-system to inform the targeting of enforcement work.

The system aims to provide high quality assessments and actionable intelligence. It is designed to provide an intelligence picture that will impact at 3 levels:

• Local issues - affecting small areas
• Cross border - affecting more than one area
• Serious and organised - crime operating at a national or international scale
