Museum of Brands

The Intellectual Property Office in partnership with the Museum of Brands has developed a new exhibition explaining the rich heritage of brands and their important relationship with intellectual property.

The exhibition aims to inspire students to think about brands and how they can be created, managed and exploited through trade marks and design rights in order to protect creativity and intellectual investment. One of many popular brands explored at the museum is Reggae Reggae Sauce created by Levi Roots, which was featured on BBC's Dragons Den show.

The resource consists of a permanent display case which will be located in the Museum's branding area. Key messages within the display case relate to what IP means to the general public and include tangible examples of these messages.

The display case is supported by an online resource for the HE/FE sector. This includes a dedicated website which contains various worksheets for students and tutors to download exploring branding and intellectual property. The website also contains further information regarding intellectual property rights

Further information is available on the Museum of Brands External Link website.
