Certified and uncertified copies

In some circumstances, you may need to provide a copy of your IP documentation, for instance to confirm registration details, as proof in legal proceedings or to obtain protection abroad.

We cannot provide copies of copyright works. However, a legal representative may provide you with a sworn declaration.

We can supply you with copies of patents, trade marks or designs if you send us the appropriate form, and pay the fee if necessary.

Designs

Use Form DF23 to request a certified or uncertified copy of your design.

Patents

Use Form 23 to request a certified or uncertified copy of your patent.

Trade marks

Use Form TM31R to request a certified or uncertified copy of your trade mark.
