Opinions and reviews

Opinions are an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) method for patents. If you are in dispute with someone about a patent, you can ask us to give our opinion. This can help to test the strength of your argument, and may even help you to resolve your dispute without resorting to a hearing.

If you do not agree with our opinion, and are the patent owner or exclusive licensee, you can request a review of the opinion. We will then reconsider the opinion.
