Description
Your description puts into words the features of your invention and must contain enough information for others to carry out your invention. You must explain your invention fully in your description when you first give it to us because you will not be allowed to add information later. For this reason it is important to explain the full scope of your invention.
How to produce your description
Your description should be typed or printed on one side of separate sheets of plain white A4 paper with 2cm margins on all sides. It should have a short title, which shows the general subject of your invention. It may typically begin with the background of the invention and if appropriate explain the problem it solves, and what the invention does. It should then set out the key features of your invention and any important but not so key features. It should then include a brief introduction to your drawings. The rest of your description should show in more detail with reference to your drawings one or more particular examples of your invention.

We need your description with a Patents Form 1 to give you a filing date.
