Our Mediation Service

Our Mediation Service covers all types of Intellectual Property (IP) rights. This includes the unregistered copyright and design rights, as well as the registered rights like patents, trademarks and registered designs. We support the move towards using mediation and have a team of CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) accredited mediators with extensive experience of dealing with IP disputes. There is no obligation to use our mediators, and a list of other mediation providers is available.

If you choose our mediator, we will deal with the arrangements for the mediation. This includes issuing written notices and handling fees. We will issue a Mediation Agreement, which the parties will have to sign to confirm that they agree to:

• use mediation to try and resolve their dispute;
• use a mediator provided or suggested by us;
• the location and costs associated with the mediation.

The costs of one of our mediators, including accommodation for the mediation, general administration and travelling expenses are detailed below:

All costs are subject to VAT for United Kingdom (UK) customers and will be borne equally by the parties unless agreed otherwise.
