Other mediation providers

We encourage parties to consider mediation as an alternative to litigation, but they are not restricted to our Mediation Service and are free to choose who mediates. Some of the many individuals and organisations available have contacted us to say they can mediate Intellectual Property related disputes.

It is not appropriate for us to recommend particular providers; however the Civil Mediation Council (CMC)  has introduced an accreditation scheme for mediation providers. This is designed primarily for the National Mediation Helpline and County Court mediation schemes, but the accreditation criteria have general relevance. We have therefore highlighted CMC accredited providers at the top of our list.

Accommodation

We have suitable office accommodation available for the parties to mediate IP disputes at our London or Newport Offices and these facilities are being made available when other mediators are selected to handle IP disputes.

The cost for accommodation at either location is £100 (plus VAT) per half day.

Please note: These charges are for the office accommodation only and costs for employing an alternative mediator to our own will need to be agreed separately.

All costs are subject to VAT for United Kingdom (UK) customers and will be borne equally by the parties unless agreed otherwise.
