Proposed Patents Act (Amendment) Bill

This consultation sets out proposals for amending the Patents Act 1977 ("the Act") in order to give effect to the revised European Patent Convention, which was agreed in November 2000 ("EPC 2000"). It also describes other proposals for changes to the Act.

The consultation is directed at anyone interested in the operation of the patent system in the United Kingdom, but especially from those who have been, are, or expect to be users of the system.
