Modernisation and Simplification of the Rules of Procedure

The consultation relates to The Copyright Tribunal Rules 1989 (S.I. 1989/1129, as amended) that regulate proceedings before the Copyright Tribunal made under sections 150 and 152 of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 ('the Act'). The consultation document presents proposals to modernise these Rules. The proposed revisions take into account recommendations made by the Innovation, Universities and Skills Select Committee in its Report of March 2008, recommendations made by an internal Intellectual Property Office Review of 2007, and comments made by stakeholders in response to these reviews.

The consultation is directed to all interested parties.
