The law relating to copyright may be affected by Statutory Instruments.  Some of the Statutory Instuments relevant to copyright legislation are listed below.  These are secondary legislation passed by Parliament.

1 December 19961996 No. 2967 External LinkThe Copyright and Related Rights Regulations 1996 implement Directives 92/100/EEC on rental, lending and other rights, 93/83/EEC on copyright and related rights in relation to cable and satellite broadcasting and Article 4 of 93/98/EEC on the duration of copyright and related rights in the UK.  Please note that Directive 93/98/EEC has been codified under number 2006/116/EC and Directive 92/100/EEC has been codified under number 2006/115/EC

1 July 19951995 No. 1445 External LinkThe Copyright (EC Measures Relating to Pirated Goods and Abolition of Restrictions on the Import of Goods) Regulations 1995 implement Article 3(1) of Council Regulation (EC) No. 3295/94 that lays down measures to prohibit the release for free circulation, export, re-export or entry of counterfeit or pirated goods in the UK.
13 February 20062006 No. 346The Artist’s Resale Right Regulations 2006 implement Directive 2001/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 September 2001 on the resale right for the benefit of the author of an original work of art.
1 April 20082008 No 211The Copyright (Certification of Licensing Scheme for Educational Recording of Broadcasts) (Educational Recording Agency Limited) (Revocation and Amendment) Order 2008 licenses the recording off-air of broadcasts by educational establishments to use for educational purposes.  This Order revokes, replaces and updates existing Orders.
