Application by design right owner to vary terms of licence of right

This is the fourth of four forms that relate to our jurisdiction with regard to unregistered design right.

If you are the owner of a design right or copyright owner of a design, you can use this form to apply to the Comptroller to vary the terms of a licence of right.

When you fill in the form you should include two copies of a statement. In your statement, you should:

  • Identify the design
  • Identify the terms you wish to vary and why you want to vary them.

The fee for this is £65.00.

The relevant legislation is set out in the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988. The relevant rule is rule 14 of the design right (proceedings before Comptroller) rules 1989.
