Online application form (e-TM3)

This form is for individuals and professional bodies to apply for a trade mark.

Make sure you know what classes of goods or services you are applying for as you will need these to make your application. If you're not sure, check out our classification search.

We cannot refund your application fee for any reason and you cannot alter your trade mark after you have sent us your form.

We will capture the text style as it appears on your form TM3. We can't make changes to the text style after the mark has been filed and so if your mark is accepted, the same style will appear in the advertisement in our journal and on the registration certificate.

This service is best used with Internet Explorer 6, Firefox 2 or Safari 2 or later on a screen at least 1024 by 768 pixels in size. Our website requires the use of cookies and JavaScript and supports the ISO 8859-1 character set. If you wish to send us image files showing your trade mark, we recommend the use of a broadband connection.

After starting a form, you must submit it within six hours or you will lose any data you have input unless you use the save for later option. This allows you to save the form and complete it up to 28 days later. Details of how to recover and continue your form will be e-mailed to you.
