Alternative Dispute Resolution/Mediation

Mediation is another route that we will be actively encouraging. It is another way that parties can resolve their dispute.

When we receive a request to initiate litigation proceedings we will consider whether mediation is a suitable way of resolving the dispute. If so, we will invite the parties to consider mediation as an alternative to litigation.

We can delay starting litigation proceedings for up to two weeks to allow the parties time to explore the mediation route and decide upon, and appoint a mediator.

You should also consider arbitration as a another alternative dispute resolution.
