Mortgaging

You can use your trade mark as security for a loan. The mortgagor has a legal right in your trade mark until you repay the loan.

You or the mortgagor should register the mortgage with us and we will then record it in the register of trademarks.

To register a mortgage you will need to send us a Form TM24.

You can also tell us that the mortgage has been repaid, so that we can cancel the details from the register.
