Correcting an error

You can correct an error in your design in the following ways:

  • amending the details on your application form (except name and address); or
  • amending errors in the illustrations of your design; or
  • amending your entry in the register of designs

Errors can usually only be corrected following a clerical or obvious error.

You will need to write to us with your request. There is no fee for this.

Please use our Proprietor Search to make sure you have listed all the Designs affected.

On occasion it may be necessary for us to request further evidence to confirm the correction.
