How much does it cost?

If you wish to have your design or designs published and registered as soon as possible:

• It costs GBP £60 to apply to register a single design or the first design in any multiple application. For every additional design in any multiple application it costs GBP £40 per design.

If you wish to defer the publication of a design by up to 12 months:

• It costs GBP £40 to apply and to register a single design or the first design in any multiple application.For every additional design in a multiple application it costs GBP £20 per design.
• When you are ready to request publication and registration of deferred designs you will need to file Form DF2C and pay a publication fee of GBP £40 per design.

Why might I need to defer publication?

If you are applying for a patent or wish to delay the public disclosure of the design for any reason, you may wish to defer registration and publication of your design.

How to pay

You can pay by cheque, credit or debit card, bank transfer or by deduction from your deposit account with us.

You must also fill in and send us a Form FS2 fee sheet.

Please remember that we cannot refund your application fee for any reason.
