How to file observations or observations in reply by e-mail

If you want to file observations on a request for an opinion by email or file observations in reply by email you should send them to opinions@ipo.gov.uk

You should not use any other email address to file your observations.

Your email may contain your observations or you can file these as an attachment to the email. We will try to read attachments in any format, but Microsoft® Word, WordPerfect, Portable Document format (PDF) or plain text (RFC822 compliant) are preferred. If we are not able to read your attachment we will contact you.

You should include the reference number of the opinion request in your email.

We will let you know as soon as possible that we have received your email.

You can also send us observations and observations in reply by floppy disc or CD-R.
