Patents Status Enquiry (PSE) Web Service

This notice confirms that the PSE web service (sometimes called the Patents Register service) was closed on 1 March 2013.

On 4 October 2012 we announced that we planned to close the PSE service in March 2013 and we updated that announcement in November 2012 and again in January 2013 when we changed the links in our other database services from PSE to Ipsum.

We decided to close the PSE service because it is not cost effective for us to maintain a service which has been superseded by our new and improved free web service, Ipsum which offers access to all the same information and has many more features.

This page will stay in place for about 3 months at which point it, and the links to it, will be removed.
