Changing the details of an application
Once you have sent in an application, there are only a few things that you can change:
The specification
You can restrict the goods or services in the specification of the application. You will need to write and tell us if you want to restrict your specification or send us a form TM23. There is no fee.
Corrections
If you think your application form had something wrong with it, you are allowed to correct these items:
The name and address of the applicant
- where ownership has changed
- where the ownership remains the same
Errors of wording or of copying
Examples of errors or wording or copying are:
- punctuation problems
- spelling mistakes
You should send us form TM21 and in Section 4 tell us what you want to change and why you want to change it. There is no fee for this.
Obvious errors
An obvious error would be those where, for example, information has been entered in the wrong boxes.
To correct this you should send us form TM21 and in Section 4 tell us what you want to change and why you want to change it. There is no fee for this.
