Change your name or address

If you change your name or address you should tell us so that we can update the register of trade marks.

If the ownership of the trade mark has changed, you must record this as an assignment. This includes any change of ownership as a result of company mergers.

Fill in Form TM21

To change your name or address, or to correct an error you need to fill in form TM21 (38Kb). There is no charge for this.

Please use our Proprietor Search to make sure you list all the trade marks affected before you fill in the form.

What happens next?

We will record the change in the register and write to confirm that we have done so. In some cases, we may ask you to provide evidence of the change.

You should also tell us if you change your agent, or sell your trade mark.
