Notice of Threatened Opposition

This form is for anyone considering opposing a Trade Mark application and may be used to extend the period they have to launch opposition proceedings so that it expires three months beginning with the publication of the trade mark in the Trade Marks Journal.

The Form TM7a must be filed within the standard period for filing opposition, which is two months beginning with the publication of the trade mark.

There is no fee associated with this form, which is only available through this website.

This service is best used with Internet Explorer 6, Firefox 2 or Safari 2 or later on a screen at least 1024 by 768 pixels in size. Our website requires the use of cookies and JavaScript and supports the ISO 8859-1 character set.

After starting a form, you must submit it within six hours or you will lose any data you have input.
