Using indicators

A number of indicators are used in the Journal to highlight marks within an index as follows:

  • Series indicator highlights that the mark is part of a series. This indicator appears before the mark for word only marks but after the mark for those marks that contain a device element.
  • Image indicator highlights in the word index that there is an image as well as mark text.
  • Multi-Image indicator highlights that there is more than one image for the case. Selecting will display all the images for the case on the right hand side of the screen.
