Journal Publication and Registration Timetable

After your mark is published

The opposition period runs from the publication date of the Journal. Then there is a two month period in which anybody may make observations on its acceptance or oppose its registration. This period can be extended to three months by anyone who is considering opposing the registration of your mark.

At the end of the opposition period

Provided that nobody has objected to it, your mark will automatically go forward into an electronic queue to become registered. We produce a registration certificate and send it to your address for service.

Timetable

The registration certificate will be produced the week after the opposition period expires. It will be posted as soon as possible to your address for service.

The journal numbers are listed in the first column. Find the journal number you require, then read across the row to find the publication date and the registration date.
