IP App
In partnership with Swansea University and Intellectual Property (IP) Wales, we have developed an IP App aimed at Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to help you identify and understand how you can make your IP work for you.
The content of the app has been designed to answer the most common questions and queries that arise around IP, with much of the information gathered from the enquiries received from both businesses and the public by our Information Centre. The app also aims to address the perception that IP is only a registered right, when in fact some rights attract protection to a company or individual at the point of creation, namely copyright and designs.
Rather than overwhelming you with information, the app has been created to provide you with a basic overview of IP as a guide to help you put the pieces of IP together. It also contains some great tips and topics for the use of IP in your business.
It contains:
- An overview of patents, trade marks, designs, copyright and Intangible Assets
- An introduction to IP as part of your business planning with some quick tips
- Links to further IP resources
The app also provides a great platform on which to view the latest news and developments in the IP world, with access to our news and Twitter feeds as well as the IP Insight online magazine.
