Summary
The application relates to a turbine-like device which has fluid repellent surfaces, the device being submerged in a body of said fluid. The invention describes the turbine-like device rotating due to the forces created by fluid being repelled from the surfaces and the energy for the motion to be maintained coming from thermal energy transformation in the fluid portions near the fluid repellent surfaces.
The Hearing Officer considered whether the invention was capable of industrial application and concluded that it was not, as the invention could not function in the manner described in the application without contravening well-established physical laws.
