Summary
The application relates to a cremation urn with a container for receiving the cremation remains of the deceased and a separate receptacle 30 which houses a decorative applique. The applique can be an item such as a simulative gemstone or a medallion. The specification also discloses a particular shape of urn to help stabilise it thus reducing the likelihood that it could be tipped over. The Hearing Officer found the invention as set out in the two independent claims to be obvious in light of certain prior art. Since saving amendments may be possible the case was remitted back to the examiner.
