Summary

The application relates to a device intended to perpendicularly transform the plane of liquid flow. It comprises shaping to produce a surface that conforms to the flow, wherein the shaping also provides automatic centring under or within the flow in addition to facilitating rotation. Holes, grooves, and protrusions may be added to induce and maintain rotation. Moreover, magnets may be incorporated to exploit the rotational output. The title given on Form 1 is ‘”Waterwheel II”.

An objection of insufficiency was maintained through several rounds of examination. In a decision that was based solely on the papers, the hearing officer found that the invention was not disclosed in enough information for it to be reproduced by a person skilled in the art. The application was refused.
