Summary

The application concerns a combined domestic waste recycling process. The process comprises a heating and steaming process causing the waste to be made more malleable; a shredding chamber for the waste; a compression chamber for forming the waste into cuboids; and a cooling and collection chamber for the formed cuboids. An objection to added matter under section 76(2) was raised against the claims. It was found by the Hearing Officer that claims 2 - 7 contained added matter, although this could be remedied by amendment. Claims 1, 8 and 9 were found not to add matter.

Subject to amendment the case was remitted back to the examiner for conclusion of the examination.
