Summary

The invention relates to a film packaging bag comprising a front panel and a back panel consisting of a heat-sealable bag film which are connected to each other at a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge. To open the bag, a user can tear apart the upper most portion of the film packaging bag comprising the top sealing seam. This portion is also referred to as tear-off portion. To aid tearing a notch is provided at one end of the tear line. Further to prevent complete detachment of the tear-off portion, a tear stop is provided at the opposite end of the tear line. The invention was however considered obvious in light of the disclosures in a number of documents and the common general knowledge. The application was refused.
