Summary

The application concerns a method for displaying and retrieving information by means of a visual display comprising an alphanumeric code.

Having followed the approach of Aerotel and considered the AT&T/CVON signposts the Hearing Officer found that the contribution was “a computer implemented method of providing information to a user to reduce the time between identifying a parcel of property of interest, and beginning navigation to the parcel of property of interest”, and this was excluded under section 1(2)(c) as a method for doing business and a program for a computer as such.

The application was refused under section 18(3).
