Summary

The invention was directed to a power generating system and involved modifying the rate of change of an electric current supplied to an electromagnet from a power supply, with a stationary coil positioned inside the magnetic field in a manner so as to induce an electromotive force (EMF) in the stationary coil. The hearing officer construed the claims as relating to a power generator and found that, as such, the invention violated the law of conservation of energy and therefore was not capable of industrial application. He therefore refused the application.
