Summary
The application relates to a method of identifying unknown molecular dynamic physical states and corresponding samples from large data sets. More particularly the application relates to identifying unknown molecular dynamics states by separating abnormal data from a current layer of data, sampling the abnormal data and inferring a targeted state. This can be useful in, for example, identifying new drug targets.
The examiner maintained that the invention was excluded from patentability as a program for a computer. With no response to the offer of a hearing a decision on the papers was prepared. The Hearing Officer found that the claims lacked a technical effect, having no effect on a technical process outside a computer and not solving a technical problem.
