Summary
The application addresses the use of a double handled crank to operate a window blind. Blinds operated by single handled cranks are known as is the use of double handled cranks in other fields of technology. The hearing officer applied the Windsurfing/Pozzoli test and addressed the questions raised in Haberman v Jackel. The claims were found to lack the required inventive step and the application was refused under section 18(3).
