Summary
The invention provides solar tile systems for mounting to external surfaces such as a roof comprising at least one tile module that covers overlapping tiles of the roof wherein each tile module comprises a tile module base substantially planar but has a step to enable it to snugly overlie adjacent rows of roof tiles with a photovoltaic material fixed to its upper surface and adhesive at its under surface for fixing it directly onto the top of the roof tiles.
The Hearing Officer applied the test set out in Windsurfing/Pozzoli and found that the invention lacked an inventive step in light of the disclosure in prior art and common general knowledge. The application was refused.
