Summary

The application is for a rechargeable e-cigarette. It concerns limiting the charging time of the battery of the e-cigarette to a predetermined time period such that the battery is fully charged but not over-charged.

The hearing officer applied the Windsurfing/Pozzoli test and found that the identified state of the art included fixed length cut-off timers, not ones tailored to specific batteries.
