Summary

Summary: The invention related to counting media impressions and associating demographic information with those media impressions, the demographic information obtained from proprietary databases such as social networks. A non-coverage error, which arises when such demographic information is not available, is corrected in a calculation involving probabilities that the media is accessed via particular device types amongst other things. The hearing officer found that the invention was excluded as a program for a computer as such and a method of doing business as such. He therefore refused the application.
