Summary
The invention relates to a cover for an electrical backbox and associated components, used between a first and final fit of a domestic or commercial electrical installation. The applicant had been unable to persuade the examiner of the patentability of the claims over the prior art. The Hearing Officer considered the prior art and found that the invention claimed was distinguished over the prior art as being novel and that the invention was similarly inventive. It was not necessary for the Hearing Officer to resort to the Windsurfing/Pozzoli test. The application was remitted back to the Examiner for completion of processing and grant.
