Summary

The application relates to a method for reducing the risk of trihalomethane contamination of milk and milk products by supplying the milk producing cows with drinking water which has not been treated with halogen compounds, and which has been determined through testing to contain less than 10µg/L of trihalomethane compounds. The main amended claim was found to be unclear and also to include matter that was not present in the application as filed. The claims, so far as they could be construed, were found to be novel but lacking in inventive step. The application was refused.
